Ingredients:
1 lb Ground Turkey Meat
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Red Onion - Diced
2 to 4 Garlic Cloves - Minced or Pressed in a Garlic Press
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Season Salt
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Dried Basil
1/8 Cup Parmesan Cheese (Optional)

1/2 teaspoon Season Salt
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
1/2 teaspoon Dried Basil
1/8 Cup Parmesan Cheese (Optional)
Directions:
Pre-Heat oven to 350 and line a cookie sheet with foil. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and form into balls. Makes around 12 meatballs of medium size.
Bake meatballs for 20 to 25 minutes or until they start to brown.
Note: If using Parmesan cheese, little pools of liquid cheese will surround the meatballs. Although the cheese is optional, it does help the meatballs to stick together a little better. Lining the cookie sheet with foil helps with clean up.
TIP: I like to take my meatballs out about 5 minutes early, brown them in a sautee pan and then add the spaghetti sauce, but this is purely optional.

Directions for the Spaghetti Squash Noodles:
Cut the spaghetti squash in half and scoop out the seeds. Place in a microwave safe dish and cover with a microwave safe lid or plastic wrap. Microwave for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes, remove the squash carefully with oven mitts and let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
Once the spaghetti squash is not so hot, remove insides with a fork, put them in a bowl or plate and top with meatballs and sauce. Eat immediately or store in the refrigerator for later.

As far as sauce is concerned, you have the option of making your own or using your favorite store bought sauce. I do a sort of hybrid of these two. I sautee garlic, onion, red and green bell peppers or whatever other kind of vegetables I have in the crisper, add the turkey meatballs to the pan after they are mostly done, stir them around a bit, then add the store bought sauce and maybe a few more spices.
I like to add extra Parmesan cheese on top as well, I can't help it, I'm part Italian! The good news is that even though this is a hearty, filling meal, it is also fairly healthy. As my Sicilian Grandpa would say, "Mangia! Mangia!"
