This three and a half year old cutie is Emerie, part one of a pair of twins that I used to nanny for. While visiting Emerie, her twin brother Wes and their eight month old little sister, Anadelle (Pictured on the Recipe Blog page), I decided it would be a nice gesture go to their house armed with these tasty treats. Upon presentation, both kids heartily dove in and devoured two of these dark chocolate balls so fast, that I had to stop them and insist that they could not have a third until after their nap.
Wesley, part two of the twins, ate his so fast, that this was the one and only pic of him that I could get that was not a complete blur.
Ah the amazing energy and fast metabolism of little children.
The good news is that these Dark Chocolate Balls are not only gluten free, require no baking, but are also super easy to make. Oh yeah, and haven't you heard? Dark chocolate is good for you! Well, that's what I will eternally tell myself anyway.
The bottom line is, if kids can't tell the difference between these homemade treats and store bought ones with refined sugar, white flour, and all that processed with artificial colors and flavors stuff, then neither will you.
